بررسی شیوع کور رنگی مادر زادی در دانش آموزان مدارس ابتدایی شهر همدان در سال 75-1374

This research&nbsp; was&nbsp; carried&nbsp; out to&nbsp;&nbsp; determine&nbsp;&nbsp; the&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; prevalence&nbsp;&nbsp; of &nbsp;&nbsp; congenital&nbsp; color&nbsp; blindness&nbsp; among&nbsp; students&nbsp; of&nbsp; Hamadan city,&nbsp; Iran, in &nbsp;&nbsp; 1995-96. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 706pupils were surveyed by a random sample.Personal characteristics &nbsp;&nbsp; such as sex, age, socio-economic condition were recorded.Ishi-hara test &nbsp;&nbsp; was used to measure congenital color-blindness. Moreover,&nbsp; information &nbsp;&nbsp; of&nbsp; eye&nbsp; diseases&nbsp; were obtained using eye examination. The results were &nbsp;&nbsp; analyzed using SPSS. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; The results indicated that4.4% of the population had congenital color- &nbsp;&nbsp; blindness ( 7% of the boys and 0.35% of the girls)P<0.05.The results did not &nbsp;&nbsp; show&nbsp; any&nbsp; significance&nbsp; difference&nbsp; in&nbsp; different&nbsp; age&nbsp; groups&nbsp;&nbsp; and&nbsp; socio &nbsp;&nbsp; -economic status. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Therefore it&nbsp; was suggested&nbsp; to use Ishi-hara&nbsp;&nbsp; test&nbsp; for&nbsp; children&nbsp; at&nbsp; the &nbsp;&nbsp; beginning of the primary school course.
